Hope is a powerful force.

It can sustain a person through the most difficult of circumstances. It can provide courage to face the unexpected and strength to just keep going when all seems lost.

Hope can make the impossible seem possible.

Hope is essential for thriving in our world today. Believing that God has good plans for your life and trusting him with each step of that journey can get you through just about anything.

So, I’ve collected a few of my favorite bible verses about hope.

A picture of a tree in an open field for this post of bible verses about hope. A bible verse written across the picture reads, "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

These words have encouraged and inspired me more times that I can count. They have brought joy and peace during unimaginably hard seasons.

I can speak from experience that when hope is all you have left to cling to, that can still be enough.

And I know that no matter where life finds you today, these verses can bring you the kind of hope that’s only found in Jesus.

But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love forever and ever. For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.

Psalm 52:8-9 NIV

In him our hearts rejoice for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.

You are honored and I love you.
