You may have heard that “God loves a cheerful giver.”
But what else does the Bible say about generosity? How can we honor God with our money and resources?
Throughout the Bible, God repeatedly points us toward the importance of generosity. And then, of course, there’s Jesus…who gave the ultimate gift by laying down His life for us.
We know living generously is important. But giving doesn’t come naturally for many of us. In fact, it can be downright hard.

Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.
Psalms 112:5 NLT
Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.

Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.
